Award-winning pianist Jeeyoon Kim returns to the Sanford Performing Arts Center by popular demand for an unforgettable evening of breathtaking music, heartfelt storytelling, and extraordinary artistry.
Known for her impeccable technique and remarkable ability to connect with audiences, Jeeyoon brings a fresh and deeply personal approach to classical music. Her concerts go beyond the traditional piano recital, weaving music and storytelling together to reveal the emotion, meaning, and humanity behind every piece. Whether you’re a lifelong classical music lover or simply curious to experience something beautiful, Jeeyoon makes the music feel welcoming, accessible, and alive.
Originally from South Korea, Jeeyoon earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance with Distinction from Indiana University’s prestigious Jacobs School of Music. She has performed for audiences across the United States and around the world, including an acclaimed debut at Carnegie Hall, and has been praised by New York Classical Review for her “consummate musicianship” and “impeccable technique.”
Her innovative concert projects have combined classical piano with visual art, photography, poetry, and personal reflection, all with one goal: creating a genuine connection between the performer, the music, and the audience. Her latest project, Radiance, continues that tradition, pairing expressive piano performance with contemporary visual art and a fresh interpretation of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
The program for this concert will be shared here as soon as it is finalized.
