Women of a Certain Age Comedy
What started as a fun idea among friends has grown into a national comedy sensation. Created by veteran comedian Carole Montgomery, Women of a Certain Age Comedy (originally Funny Women of a Certain Age) made history as the first stand-up special to feature an all-female lineup over 50—quickly becoming Showtime’s highest-rated comedy special of the year. Since then, it’s spun into two more hit specials, sold-out tours, and a devoted nationwide following.
In an industry that too often overlooks women over 50, WOACA flips the script. These bold, brilliant comedians—icons like Fran Drescher, Caroline Rhea, Janeane Garofalo, Wendy Liebman, Marsha Warfield, and more—bring decades of experience, razor-sharp wit, and zero apologies to the stage.
